Clubbing Outfit: Sequin Dress from Velour Clothing Exchange
If anything screams CLUB it is a sequin dress right? When I saw this dress at Velour Clothing Exchange (formerly the Front Porch) and tried it on, I knew I had to have it! For Part 2 of my Birthday, I decided to go for dinner and dancing. Dinner was at the new place “The Still Fine Spirits & Edibles” (270 14 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB) and dancing was at Hifi to enjoy TWRK’s music. Check out their music at the end of this post.
I LOVE this outfit. I wish I could wear it every day! This coat is the BOMB! Seriously. It is so warm, furry and fabulous! It is also from Velour Clothing Exchange. I cannot get over how much I love the colour of this luxe piece of outerwear.
Perfect Dress Perfect Accessories
Obviously, I wasn’t just going to wear a sparkly dress. It was my birthday and I was going to accessorize! I was channeling my inner Diana Ross, so I rocked my FIERCE cuff and my favourite statement necklace.
About Velour Clothing Exchange
My friend Myra, started selling consignment clothing once upon a time. I have always loved her selection of clothing and became an instant customer.
This year, she launched Velour Clothing Exchange on 17th Avenue SW in Calgary, Canada. As soon as I could make it, I dragged my friends down and SHOPPED!
Myra is such a lovely lady and if you ever get a chance to visit her store, go prepared! You will spend stacks!
About Myra and Velour Calgary
Velour Clothing Exchange, founded by Myra Miller, is Calgary’s first dedicated buy/sell/trade clothing store. Formerly The Front Porch, Velour builds on its reputation for carrying a thoughtfully curated, hand-picked collection of men’s and women’s clothing and accessories. The store specializes in wearable 60s – 90s vintage and on-trend clothing.
This place is a birthday favourite. I went here once upon a time for another birthday with my high school friends. Yeah… I know. This place is slightly hipsterish, but unpretentious. You better come prepared to DANCE. The DJs that were spinning kept the dance floor hot all night long. I honestly danced non-stop for 3 hours; the music was so good!
Thank god I was wearing comfortable shoes.
