Here is a little #throwback to when it was warm. The editors of the style panel asked: What’s your wardrobe go-to that instantly pulls an outfit together?

Here was my response:

The one item I cannot live without in my closet is a blazer! Blazers instantly polish a look and can help transition seamlessly from dropping your kids off at school to a mid-morning downtown meeting.

I love this navy blue blazer because it compliments my skin so well and goes with just about everything I own. I can mix and match it with patterns and other fall neutrals like black and cream. Not only that, but I find that blazers are casual enough that I can wear them with just about anything: skirts, skinny jeans, dress pants and fun tops. I keep this blazer handy all through fall and winter and the funky lining inside reminds me that spring is only 8 months away!

I wore this blazer with a patterned Jennifer Glasgow top from Studio Intent that had enough material to cover my growing belly. Paired with these pants it was perfect. I got these pants that meant to be tummy control for non-pregnant women, but I found that they made great maternity pants!

Since these pants are capris (cropped pants) they can easily make your legs look stubby. That is why I wore them with these killer shoes! They complimented the top I was wearing and made my legs look long!

All the outfit needed was a few accessories like this vintage leather bag and simple jewelry.
