I know I haven’t posted in almost a month. Things have been hectic, stressful, yadda, yadda, yadda. I won’t bore or depress you with the details. Anyhow, everything is all good now, and I find myself driving across Canada. What? Yes, you heard right: Driving. Across. Canada.
Why would anyone do such a thing? Why not just fly? Those are the questions I would be asking a friend if they wanted to undertake this trip. At first, it was supposed to be a food road trip, but that didn’t quite pan out. Now it is a “Why not?” trip. It’s a “check out what this humongous country looks like” trip. It is a “take photos and enjoy life” trip. It’s an “I’m a Canadian and I want to see Canada” trip.
First stop: Calgary to Saskatoon. Saskatoon to Winnipeg.
looooooool I always find it amusing the slogans small towns come up with. I love Lanigan’s “Land of Potash” tag-line. How inspiring! I actually think this town was on the way to Winnipeg, but I will add the photo here anyway.
My favourite photo so far is this bridge that is somewhere in the prairies.
Finally, I was pretty impressed with the bodies of water that threatened to engulf both sides of the road. When I think of prairie driving I do not think of lovely lakes and rivers. I have to admit that I enjoy the drive from Saskatoon to Winnipeg.
