Ruffles are here to stay (at least until next season :p)
I am seeing ruffles EVERYWHERE on sleeves, skirts, scarves. You name it, someone has put a ruffle on it. When Fashion Magazine asked me how I wear ruffles, I decided to play up the femininity and girlish nature of ruffles.
A long, flowing, multi-tiered ruffle dress is perfectly paired with a light pink choker and delicate bracelets to create an exaggerated feminine look.
It is easy to experiment with color when wearing ruffles by color blocking. I chose to do this with leggings and a shoe with clean lines, but you can create a similar look with a bold coat and handbag.
You will probably be seeing a lot of ruffles this summer at festivals across Canada. If it isn’t your thing, don’t worry, I suspect it will be out of favour by Spring/Summer18.
